Audi R8 e-tron Supercar

Recently, Audi has announced the R8 e-tron. The Audi R8 e-tron is a low-carbon supercar. Audi racer Lukas Luhr will drive the R8 e-tron at Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon 2010 in Germany. The Audi R8 e-tron will be on sale the end of 2012. Production will be limited to 1000 units and pricing will start above $114,200.

The Audi R8 e-tron supercar will feature a 53 kWh lithium-ion battery and four electric motors that produce 78 hp (58 kW / 79 PS) and 830 lb-ft (1124 Nm) of torque each. While multiplying four by 830 lb-ft (1124 Nm) results in an insane 3,320 lb-ft (4496 Nm) of torque, the figure will be more like 502 lb-ft (680 Nm) in real world driving.

The R8 e-Tron will accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in approximately 4.8 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds slower than the R8 V8. Furthermore, the top speed may be limited to 124 mph (200 km/h) to preserve battery life. On the plus side, the R8 e-Tron will have a range of 154 miles (248 kilometers).

Mercedes Benz SLM Plug-in Hybrid Supercar

Recently, Mercedes Benz has exposed a SLM supercar, it’s a possibly plug-in hybrid. The main contenders for the Mercedes Benz SLM supercar will be Audi R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo.

The Mercedes Benz SLM will use the mid-engine. It will equipped a 3.5L V6 twin turbo engine which will produce up to 359 horsepowers and 110 horsepower electric motor. In addition, Mercedes Benz Coupe version of SLM will be the first to introduce, and in the subsequent launch convertible version is expected starting price will be 16.5 million, pure electric drive version may also be introduced.

It is rumored that the Mercedes Benz SLM supercar will appear in 2014-2015.

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

Today, Land Rover offical published the Range Rover Evoque in the UK. The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is the company’s smallest, lightest, and most fuel efficient SUV and it’s also Land Rover LRX’s mass-produced version of model. It’s being positioned as a more sporting and more luxurious (and expensive) vehicle. Its price of $78,425.

The Land Rover only published the three-door model. The 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque will be equipped with three power systems, including the 2.2L inline four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine and a 3.2L inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine and diesel-electric hybrid power system( diesel 2.0T Turbocharged engines ).  It’s all the four-wheel drive version, in addition to hybrid-type model.

2011 Peugeot 308 GTi

Peugeot 308 is a classic 5 door hatchback, many young people very like its cool exterior. The new Peugeot 308 GTi is a let us wait for the sports car for 10 years. Recently, Peugeot company has finally officially released a 2011 Peugeot 308 GTi. It will be rival of Volkswagen Golf GTi.

The 2011 Peugeot 308 GTi powered by a 1.6L THP twin turbo direct injection engine ( the same engine as the RCZ Coupe ), and equipped with high-pressure direct injection system, the maximum power to 147kw (200hp) / 5000-6800rpm, peak torque of 275Nm/1700-4500rpm. Match is a 6-speed manual transmission, the 0-100km / h acceleration time of only 7.7 seconds, fuel consumption is 6.9L/100km, CO2 emissions of just 159g/km.

The car’s chassis equipped fitted with 225/40 R18 tyres, it combines excellent stability at high speed with guaranteed comfort at low speed. 340 mm diameter brake discs at the front and 290 mm at the rear ensure high levels of braking performance.

The 2011 Peugeot 308 GTi’s exterior is distinguished by: a bright black carbon-style insert under the front bumper lower skirt (specificity France), “Sport” lower front panel derived from the 308 CC, lower rear bumper panel with Perla Nera black diffuser, rear spoiler, offering additional efficiency at high speeds, a twin chrome exhaust pipes, “GTi” badges on the side and rear of the body. The interior gets aluminum foot rest and gear knob, leather sport steering wheel with aluminum flattened lower edge and thumb rests.

2011 Peugeot 308 GTi will be listed in France on June 10th, starting at 26,900 euros.

Audi R8 GT Racing Version

Recently, Audi has announced the R8 GT. The Audi R8 GT is a lighter more powerful R8 sports car. The Audi R8 GT loses 220 pounds than the Audi R8 V10, vehicle weight reduced to 3362 pounds. It mainly uses thinner glass windshield, polycarbonate rear windows, Carbon fiber and aluminum materials, fixed rear wing, the metal body panels thinner, lighter car blanket.

The Audi R8 GT  is equipped by a modified version of the 5.2L V10 making 560-hp (an increase of 35-hp) and a peak torque of 398.28 lb-ft. That allows 0-62 mph to come in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 198.84 mph. The V10 gets a specific power output of 107.6-hp per liter displacement.

The Audi R8 GT uses R Tronic sequential manual transmission. Electronic-hydraulic clutch can use an electronic mode. From 0 to 6-speed certainly can control the speed of 0.1 seconds.

Only 333 units of the Audi R8 GT will be made with prices starting at €193,000 ($256,000 USD) in Germany.

Volkswagen Golf Blue-e-motion Pure Electric Concept

Today, Volkswagen Showcases electric vehicle concept – Volkswagen Golf blue-e-motion. The Volkswagen Golf blue-e-motion is a five-door and five-seat car, it also is Volkswagen’s first pure electric vehicles. Volkswagen will be on sale the Golf blue-e-motion production version by 2013 .

The Golf blue-e-motion concept is powered by an 85 kW ( 115 horsepower ), 50 kW continuous power, 270 N·m (199 lb-ft) electric motor integrated in the engine compartment in front. The electricity for driving the electric motor is stored in a 26.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Top speed is 140 km/h (87 mph).  A driving range of up to 94 miles can be realized in the Golf blue-e-motion; the specific range depending on driving style and factors such as use of the air conditioning and heating system. It uses the EQ 210 1 speed drivetrain. 0-100 km with a time 11.8 seconds.

The New Ferrari 599 GTO

Ferrari has finally exposed the new Ferrari 599 GTO. The new Ferrari 599 GTO is an exclusive limited edition, will be unveiled to the public at the Beijing Motor Show. In fact,The 599 GTO is the Ferrari’s fastest ever road car.

The new Ferrari 599 GTO uses the 599XX’s tweaked 6.0-liter V12 engine. Said plant puts out 670-horsepower at 8,250 rpm with a maximum torque of 620Nm (457 lb-ft) at 6,500 rpm.  0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.35” as well as a top speed of over 335 km/h. For comparison, the standard 599 GTB puts out 620HP. even though the power is (way) up fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are both improve slightly to 17.5 km/l and 411 g/km respectively.

Apart from new springs and a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, the car also features a second generation magnetorheological suspension control system (SCM2). In fact, the 599 GTO boasts an excellent 100 to 0 km/h braking distance of just 32.5 metres. Power gets to the rear-wheels via the same six-speed sequential gearbox that now has quicker, 60 ms, shift times and the possibility to make multiple downshifts as found on the 599XX. And the weight has been lowered thanks to the widespread use of composite materials, resulting in a dry weight of 3,295 lbs or 185 lbs less than the 599 GTB.

Volkswagen Milano Taxi Concept

Recently, Volkswagen has published the Milano Taxi Concept. The Volkswagen Milano Taxi concept is a zero-emission pure electric-powered concept car, and it uses design with MPV.

The Volkswagen Milano Taxi concept’s engine is supplied with energy via a lithium-ion battery integrated in the concept car. The Milano Taxi has a top speed of 120 km/h and uses an electric motor capable to deliver 85 kW (continuous power: 50 kW). Due to the battery storage capacity of 45 Kilowatt-hours (kWh) and the relatively low vehicle weight (1,500 kilograms), the car has a range of up to 300 kilometres (per NEDC) depending on driving style. The battery can be recharged to up to 80% in just over an hour. 

The Milano Taxi, which is 1.60 metres tall, 3.73 metres long, and 1.66 metres wide comes in a two-tone paint, green and black, which represents a tribute to the fashion metropolis of Milan. Inside, the front passenger seat disappeared and was replaced by the cargo space for luggage. The most interesting thing is that the new car features a 8-inch touchscreen in the rear next to the driver.

2011 Seat Alhambra MPV

Today, The Spanish automaker – Seat ( owned by Volkswagen ) has published the 2011 all-new Alhambra MPV. The 2011 Seat Alhambra MPV offers far more than plenty of space for family, business and hobbies. Its innovative versatility fits just as well to family requirements as it does to the demands of the high-mileage business driver.

The 2011 Seat Alhambra MPV will be equipped with four different direct injection engines, including new TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines. The two petrol versions of the 2011 Seat Alhambra output 110 kW/150 hp and 147 kW/200 hp while the diesel TDI models output 103 kW/140 hp and 125 kW/170 hp. The 2011 Seat Alhambra 2.0 TDI with 140 hp offers a 5.5 liters / 100 km fuel consumption and a 143 g/km CO2 emissions level.  At the same time, also equipped with a DSG dual clutch transmission, Seven airbags, anti-lock braking, and stability control all come standard.

The Seat Alhambra MPV measures in at 4.85-meters long, 22cm longer than the previous model.  This gives more room for either an added third-row of seats, or excess cargo, with sliding doors for easier access.  Doors can be operated electronically as an option.

Citroen Metropolis Concept

Yesterday, Citroen Metropolis concept has officially unveiled at the Shanghai. The Citroen Metropolis concept will be positioned as a high-end luxury concept car.  It uses uses a hybrid drivetrain. Metropolis concept is bigger than a long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class at 5.3 meters long and wide as a Maybach 62.

Citroen Metropolis concept is equipped with rechargeable PLUG-IN hybrid drive system, this power system can also be selected according to different driving modes to adjust, the city at low speed and deceleration of the condition, pure electric mode, from a maximum power of 70 kW (95 hp) electric motor driven; in highway driving, you can switch to fuel-driven model, powered by a displacement of 2.0 liters of V6 engines, the maximum power 200 kW (272 hp) and peak torque of 375 Nm. When accelerate or use four-wheel drive mode, its two power will together work, maximum power can reach 345 kilowatts (460 hp) and peak torque to 430 Nm .

The Metropolis Concept uses 7-speed dual-clutch electronically controlled mechanical transmission, the unique hydraulic suspension system, the system can adjust the distance between the car body and the ground, thus reducing drag. With an advanced hybrid system, Metropolis Citroen concept car emissions of carbon dioxide per kilometer 70g, equivalent to 100 km fuel consumption of 2.6L.
