Panasonic SDT750 Camcorder – the World’s First 3D-capable Consumer Camcorder

Yesterday, Panasonic Digital Imaging Seminar launch event held in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Panasonic publish the SDT750 camcorder. The Panasonic SDT750 camcorder is the world’s first AVCHD-based 3D-capable camcorder with an interchangeable 3D conversion lens, and is also the world’s first 3D-capable consumer camcorder. It uses an interchangeable 3D conversion lens, the SDT750 is able to capture 3D images and output them live via HDMI to a 3D-capable TV.

In fact, the Panasonic SDT750 is still a 2D DV, using 3MOS sensitive components. 7.59 million effective pixels dynamic images (2.53 million x3), can shoot 1080/60p high-definition video. Provides 12x optical zoom, 5.1-channel audio recording, 3-inch widescreen LCD. Built-in 96GB flash memory, SDXC card expansion.

After installing 3D conversion lens VW-CLT1, the SDT750 is truly the world’s first civilian 3D camera. The 3D conversion lens can to light be divided into two way, shot into the left and right eye images on the light-sensitive imaging devices, shooting a 960×1080 resolution three-dimensional images, using the Side-by-Side 3D format. The Video shot can be broadcasted in Panasonic VIERA 3D watch television, and we’re in the body’s LCD screen on the preview screen will display the left eye images. In 3D models can be used anti-shake function, but can not zoom, can only use the wide angle.

Panasonic SDT750 will be listed in the Japanese market in August, the price of 1399 U.S. dollars.

NVIDIA has recently revealed GTX 295×2 ATI GTFO Edition. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295×2 ATI GTFO Edition boasts a newly designed 45nm architecture, four GPU.

Recently, Sanyo has unveiled Xacti WH1. Sanyo Xacti WH1 is the World’s first waterproof HD camcorder. It can even go underwater down to 3 meter deep.

Sanyo Xacti WH1 can record in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format for compatibility with a wide range of devices. Common features include 2.5 inch display, face detection, USB ports, mono speaker and stereo microphone. It also offers a great focal range with a 30x lens, image quality of 720P, On-the-fly shooting in video mode, 43MB of onboard memory, SD card slot and HDMI out. The WH1 is designed for low angle shooting and has the record button on the front side. It can shoot for 110 and 40 minutes on a single charge.

Samsung released SSD Camcorder, that fully supports HD (1920×1080) and features either 64GB SSD (HMX-H106), 32GB, or 16GB SSD (HMX-H105 and HMX-H106,) or a SDHC only (HMX-H100). Samsung SSD Camcorder is the World’s First 64GB SSD Full HD Camcorder.

These cameras support the H.264 codec, a Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan HD lens with a 37mm wide angle focal length and 4.7Mpix sensor, and a 2.7” LCD…

5 Nov 2008, Canon has published the XH A1 and XH G1 High Definition (HD) camcorders. The HDV XH A1S and XH G1S both feature a 20x HD video lens, manual zoom / focus, three independent manual adjustment rings, an “unprecedented” range of image / color settings, 60i / 30F / 24F frame rate options, Instant AF focusing system, the DIGIC DV II proprietary digital signal processor, two built-in XLR terminals with separate audio-input sensitivity settings, line output level switching and support for optional HDD recording in the field. Both are capable of outputting 24F movie-standard footage, while the G1S adds broadcast standard connections including a HD-SDI output delivering an uncompressed 1.485 Gbps digital signal with embedded audio and LTC Timecode (SMPTE 299M).

Used with the Canon FS-CV DTE Recorder, the two camcorders can bypass the HDV tape system and record direct to an attached hard-drive. The Canon XH A1S and Canon XH G1S HD camcorders will be available in late December with an MRSP of $3,999 and $6,999 respectively.
