Swedish supercar manufacturer – Koenigsegg will publish the Agera at the 2010 Geneva Auto Salon. The Koenigsegg Agera is a new top super sports car. Agera, the Swedish verb “to act”, has been chosen as the name for Koenigsegg´s latest super creation, as it symbolizes the Koenigsegg striving forward, seeking challenges beyond limitations.
The Agera’s body line is more rounded than the CCX. It’s headlights and tail lights use a higher brightness LED lamps. After the tail size increased, with the new aerodynamic spoiler design, when the speed reached 250 km may produce up to 300kg downforce to stability the body. The car’s body uses carbon fiber and the cellular aluminum alloy frame to ensure that the body rigidity while reducing the weight.
Koenigsegg Agera uses the 4.7 liter V8 developed, maximum horsepower is 910hp at the 6850rpm-redline. Torque hits 1100Nm at 5100rpm. Thanks to a dry weight of 1290kg (2832lbs), the Agera manages to reach 100km/h (62mph) in 3.1 seconds and 200km/h (124mph) in 8.9 seconds. Top speed is estimated at 390+ km/h (245+ mph).
In addition, the Agera is also equipped with ceramic brake system, 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels lightweight alloy wheels, four-point seat belts, G-Force sensor system (with digital display), support multimedia devices such as USB interface. Koenigsegg each year only produce 20 sets Agera.
