Today, Nokia officially announced N8 phone. The Nokia N8 is Nokia’s first Symbian^3 operating system mobile phone. It’s set to become the Nokia’s next flagship phone. Listing in the third quarter of the ongoing year. Its price of €370.
The Nokia N8 is equipped a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display with support for multi-touch gestures, boasting a 640 x 320 pixels resolution, along with a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash, and video recording capabilities at 720p. It also uses 135MB of internal memory, coupled with 16GB mass memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of removable storage space, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, and support for WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz and GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz band frequencies.
The Nokia N8 supports microUSB (USB 2.0), Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI out, built-in A-GPS with location support for GPS, A-GPS, WLAN and Cell-ID, as well as FM Radio with RDS, and the 3.5 mm Nokia AV connector for audio in/out and TV-out.
The new Symbian^3 operating system will bring a series of features of its own into the equation, such as a multi-page homescreen with the possibility to customize widgets, visual task switcher, or a single tap ‘Direct UI’ paradigm. Additional features include Flash Lite 4, with compatibility of Flash 10; Ovi Maps, Nokia Messaging, Ovi Music and Ovi Store; new menu structure with fewer prompts; or a renewed music experience with cover flow albums.
