31 Oct 2008, Samsung SDI shows Samsung 40-inch OLED television at CES 2008. The OLED TV is the world’s largest 40-inch OLED TV.
The panel offers a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a color gamut of 107% NTSC and a luminance of 200cd/m2, Thickness of only 8.9mm.

A Samsung spokesperson apprently revealed that this was the largest prototype OLED screen they could currently produce – but it’s a long way off mass production.
